Advanced Class IV Laser Therapy

Class IV Laser Therapy is an advanced, non-invasive, and pain-free solution for both chronic and acute conditions. It works by focusing light energy deep into damaged tissues.

This light energy is absorbed by your cells, which jump-starts your body’s natural healing process. The therapy is designed to reduce pain and inflammation, stimulate cellular regeneration, and accelerate recovery. At Mahoney Chiropractic Group, we use Class IV Laser Therapy as part of our comprehensive approach to care to promote faster healing and to get you back to feeling your best.

Your Questions, Answered.

Will laser therapy hurt? What does it feel like?

No, Class IV Laser Therapy is painless. This gentle therapy feels warm and many patients say it feels soothing and relaxing.

How long is a session of laser therapy?

A typical session of laser therapy lasts 5-10 minutes, depending on the area of your body we are treating.

Are there any side effects or risks?

Class IV Laser Therapy is extremely safe with virtually no risk of side effects when administered by a trained professional. You may experience temporary redness in the treatment area that typically fades within an hour or two. Laser therapy is non-invasive and pain-free.

How long before I feel results?

Many patients report a decrease in pain after the first session or within the first 1-2 treatments. However, the effects of laser therapy are cumulative, meaning that the benefits of each session build on the previous session over your personalized treatment plan.

What conditions can it treat?

Class IV laser treats a wide range of both acute and chronic conditions, including:

  • Soft Tissue Injuries: Muscle strains / Ligament sprains
  • Joint Pain: Arthritis (Osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, spine, and shoulder)
